The International Fire Relief Mission exists to provide long-term and life saving assistance for active duty firefighters in countries and communities lacking modern fire/rescue equipment and technology. Our objectives are accomplished by recycling fire equipment replaced by the AFG or FEMA grants. An ongoing impact to firefighters is improved technology and equipment with a (5-10 year) sustainable service life.

By demonstrating basic NFPA standards customized to the equipment delivered, firefighter safety and rescue capabilities are immediately enhanced. Our program and services also increase community safety through the improved technology and gear.

Many nations and communities have expressed an interest in receiving assistance from the IFRM. We seek to develop international partnerships and collaborations for on-going support and training. Follow up and accountability are critical to our success. The IFRM operates internationally as a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO)

The IFRM is a non-profit corporation whose mission is to provide humanitarian aid and educational resources. We show a successful record of operating with a 98% efficiency rating as measured by Charity Navigators and the Better Business Bureau. By maintaining operational efficiency we bring assurance of optimal stewardship to each donor’s gift.

The IFRM is supported through charitable donations. Operations are supported through individual and corporate funding, volunteer assistance, “in-kind” services and equipment donations. Our field staff donates their time when conducting training.

At the International Fire Relief Mission we enjoy the endorsement from organizations like the Minnesota Fire Chiefs Assoc. and the Wisconsin EMS Assoc.Industry leaders like Rosenbauer America, Lion Apparel and NorthWest Airlines have been very generous in launching our team's support.

Our support base continues to grow. Many new relationships are forming. Private and public corporations are beginning to rally their support for Firefighter's needs. One of the first International companies to assist is Hellmann Worldwide Logistics. They are providing much needed transportation and international shipping.

The global effort to “Reduce, Reuse and Recycle” has proven benefits to communities and nations everywhere. Through IFRM efforts, firefighters who would otherwise remain 30-40 years behind in technology and gear are supplied with modern, life saving fire/rescue equipment. Manufacturers benefit by producing goods to replace that which is recycled to other countries. By recycling your equipment or apparatus, you are helping firefighters that otherwise would have nothing. Your donations make a difference everyday in the lives of those firefighters and the communities they serve.

Your financial contributions are also important. Financial support allows us to collect, warehouse, and deliver this life saving equipment to fire departments around the world. The IFRM operates as a 501.(c) (3). Entity under Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 317A

All donations are 100% tax deductible as allowed by law.
